DELTA UPSILON

Building Better Men

Delta Upsilon is the sixth oldest fraternity in North America and the oldest non-secret,
non-hazing fraternity in the world. Founded in 1834 at Williams College in Massachusetts, Delta Upsilon now has 69 chapters in the United States and Canada. The Wisconsin Chapter was chartered in 1885 and since 1906 has occupied the same “home” at 644 N. Frances St. on the shore of Lake Mendota.

Delta Upsilon creates valuable learning and personal development experiences for its members as it seeks to promote and advance justice.

Our mission is Building Better Men. Our vision is to be the premier men's fraternity, preparing our brothers for a global society through service, leadership development and lifelong personal growth.

Simply put, DU helps build men who are difference makers.

A COLLEGE EDUCATION PREPARES YOU FOR A CAREER.
DELTA UPSILON PREPARES YOU FOR LIFE.

OUR FOUR FOUNDING PRINCIPLES

Delta Upsilon frames everything we do around our Four Founding Principles.
We seek men of character who promote friendship and well-being,
who recognize and celebrate what makes each person unique,
and who are committed to the advancement of justice.

The Promotion of FRIENDSHIP

The Development of CHARACTER

The Diffusion of
LIBERAL CULTURE

The Advancement of
JUSTICE
