Chapter Goals – March 2012

Spring Rush

The rush process went exceptionally well this spring semester. We concluded with a list of 12 associate members and focused primarily on strengthening our member base with Wisconsin residents. We now have some excellent men joining the house, and while some are from across the US, over half of the pledge class is from in-state. This is a critical step to help increase and maintain our Wisconsin population in the house.

February Update from the men of DU

At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, second semester is a stressful time filled with interviews for full-time jobs and summer internships, as well as hearing back from law and graduate schools.

The members of Delta Upsilon Wisconsin Chapter have been very successful so far in finding jobs in a very competitive market.  President George Haramaras will be working as an analyst for Houlihan Lokey in Chicago, while Treasurer Charlie Moore just accepted a job at Chicago Trading Company.  Derrick Maleh will be ...

Building Better Men Weekend

This past Saturday the Wisconsin Chapter participated in a Building Better Men Weekend, hosted by Delta Upsilon International.  Building Better Men Weekends are customized weekend retreats designed to target the specific needs of the chapter.  Wisconsin Chapter was challenged to break down challenges and opportunities facing the chapter as they construct a plan of action rooted in the core principles and mission of Delta Upsilon.

Renovation Update

Renovation Update

Brothers Charlie Cox (’86) and Jon Callaway (’88) reported that the House renovation process is underway and comfortably within schedule.

Recently a group of DUs met with Strang Architects and Findorff Construction Co. to formally launch the project and map out an appropriate timeline for the work.

Beginning this spring, Strang will begin the process of reviewing codes, creating early design concepts and estimates, and meeting with appropriate city officials. By this summer, there will be design refinements, materials and systems ...

Passing of Ed Hipke (’56), DU of WI Foundation Treasurer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brother Ed Hipke (’56) after a short illness.

Ed was the long time DU of Wisconsin Foundation Treasurer and was the active treasurer on the current capital campaign for the DU house renovation. Ed’s contribution to DU was life long and unwavering and he will be greatly missed by all.
